How to Play

Basics

Match identical open stones to remove them from the board. When you select an open tile it is highlighted with a yellow border & then it disappears when you select an open match.

• A stone is considered open if there is no stone on top of it AND either the left or right side does not have something next to it.
• Some Mahjong Solitaire games show different stone colors to denote if stones are open, however since the theme of this game is black stones there is no color difference. The only difference is if the border highlighting when selected.

Stones feature Chinese characters & common symbols like flowers or bamboo. All tile matches must be identical other than season or flower stones.

• Seasons can match any other season stone.
• Flowers can match any other flower stone.

Finish the stage as fast as you can & then select other board layouts you would like to play.

Levels

This game has 366 different board layotus to choose between. You can play them in any order.

You can go back and replay levels you did not finish as quickly as you would like.

Play Tips

Open tiles and tiles which are not open appear with the same dark background color.Open stones are highlighted with a yellow border when you select them.

Widest Rows & Deepest Columns First

Each board has a unique configuration. It is best to remove tiles from the deepest and widest stacks whenever possible so that you quickly open up the board to enable other pair matches.

Scoring

Rather than scoring points this game scores your play time on each puzzle.

Using a hint adds 5 seconds to your play time & manually shuffling tiles adds 10 seconds to your play time.

Game Controls

The right rail has the game controls.

• At the top it shows your puzzle number, while the bottom shows your current cumulative play time.
• In between the game has buttons to pause, shuffle stones, take a hint, control game sound, control game music, and switch to full screen mode.

Automated Shuffles

Whenever no tile matches remain the board automatically reshuffles, so if the board does not shuffle it means there is at least one valid move remaining.
